(Daughter of) In the conferring of the degree of LL.D. upon Premier Rutherford at the convocation at Toronto University last Thursday and the induction of President Falcomer, "Premier Whitney, of Ontario" Says the Toronto Globe, "appropriately present Hon. Alex. Cameron Rutherford, B.A. B.C.L., Premier and Minister of Education of Alberta. Premier Whitney stated that Dr. Rutherford was born in the country adjoining the one in which he first saw the light. After graduating at McGill he was called to the bar and eventually became the trustee and representative of the people of Alberta, who knew his good qualities.
