(William) McDOUGALL, James Dr. Ella Synge, whose office was destroyed in the post office fire moved to 35 Jasper east, the office formerly occupied by Sheriff Robertson, over the Martin Saddlery store. The late secretary of the local trades and labor council, G. Parkes, leaves in a few days for his home in Australia. Prior to his departure the local council will hold a smoker reunion next Tuesday evening in their regular rooms. Refreshments will be served and all delegates to Winnipeg are invited to be present. Fred Hardisty has returned from a two week's trip to Winnipeg. Dr. T.B. Stevenson, of Wetasiwin is in the city today on business. Miss Macauley last night entertained a number of friends at the residence of her uncle, Alexander McCauley, Fourth street. Mrs. Adamson mother of Mr. Osborn Adamson of the Provincial Treasury department, arrived yesterday afternoon from London, England and will reside with him at his home Nineth avenue, Stratcona. Wm. McHale, employed on the C.N.R. won the gold watch at the Lyric theatre last night, His number was 1074. James Mcdougall of 25 Stewart street, was the lucky winner of the gold watch at the Orpheum theatre last night his number was 1626.
