Williamson, manager of the Edmonton Produce Co., has returned from a trip to the east where he visited the Toronto and Scarbrooke exhibitions. At the police court last night the Chinaman named Mah Moon, who had been charged with assault, was fined $20 and costs and bound over to keep the peace for a year. J.D. Blaney, president of the Albert Temperance and Moral Reform League is expected to address the monthly public meeting of the Leduc District League, in Leduc on Thursday Oct 10, at 8 p.m. Mr. John Cormack, late of the legal firm of Noel, Noel & Cormack, has taken as a partner Mr. H.A. Mackie, and the new firm will be known as Cormack & Mackie. Their offices are in the McLeod Block. The C.M.R. band and orchestra by kind permission of Major Paton, commanding officer C.M.R. will give a Smoking Concert in the Mechanics Hall, Third street, on Saturday evening commencing at 8 o'clock. The Promoters are endeavoring to make this the best smoking concert ever given in Edmonton. The best talent has been secured in the city and the full program will be given in a later issue. A City of the size of Edmonton certainly needs a military band, and it is up to the public to give it suport.
