GOYNE, Noah LEPTON, J.F. Red Deer The funeral of the late Geo. Beatty was held yesterday afternoon. All places of business in town were closed at two o'clock and flags all over town were flying at half mast. The 15th Light Horse attended in full uniform, and the hearse was followed by the members of the Masonic lodge. A great many of the late Mr. Beatty's friends from Innisfail and Lacombe attended the funeral. Over forty carriages followed, to the cemetery. The Alberta Hotel will be reopened today. P. Cook, accountant of the Northern bank, left last night for a week's holiday at Hight River. R. Page, Pine Lake is in town. W.F. Lundy came up from Innisfail on yesterday's noon train. Frank Scoonover, of Content, has been in town for the past few days. Ralph Matchett came in from Medicine river yesterday. He is on his way to Sedgwick, where he will spend the winter. C.J. McCullough, of Calgary is relieving in the Northern bank here at present in the absence of J.W. Black, who is on the sick list. F.W. Gaetz, of Pine Lake, was in town yesterday H.S. Chreisghton and Noah Goyne, of coalbanks, have been in town for the past few days. They left for home this morning. J.F. Lepton, of Lacombe, was in the city yesterday.
