Carrick, of Pine Lake, has been in town for the past few days. Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Pooley came up from High River today to spend a few days with Mrs. Pooley's mother, Mrs. A. Tait. Mr. Pooley is now manager of the Canadian Bank of Commerce in High River C. Reid and G. Forrester shipped nine cars of fine cattle from here yesterday afternoon, The cattle are consigned to Montreal, but will be disposed of in Winnipeg if prices are right. Jack Forrester accompanied the cattle, Shaw, of Stettler ships a trainload to Winnipeg today. Chas. Greenham, of Pine Lake, who has been in town for the past few days, left for home yesterday. A.D. Beaman, who has for the past two years held a position in the Alberta hotel, leaves Tuesday for his home in Exxex, Ont, where he will reside in future. Wm. Postill is in town from his ranch in the Hand Hills. Frank Lehrman, of Lacombe, was in town yesterday. Donald Paterson has rented the Alberta hotel billiard room, and will assume control today. P. Cork returned yesterday from High River, where he has spending a weeks holiday. T.B.T. Hewitt, formerly of the Bank of Commerce staff here, was in town yesterday. Mr. Hewitt has been transferred from Bawlff to Calgary. Lloyd Bannerman and J.E. Wright have assumed control of the Alberta hotel. C.L. Alston, of Lacombe, was in town on Saturday. H.J. Donovan left Saturday evening for Winnipeg where he will spend a week or two an then go on to Montreal. Jack Loiselle has severed his connection with the Alberta Hotel barber shop, and has gone to Edmonton to live. A.G. Carlyle, of St. Thomas, Ont., who has been in town for the past two weeks left on Saturday for home. F.C. Newland, the Penhold postmaster, was in town yesterday. E.L. Cope, has returned from Evarts.
