Ferguson, Hamilton, Ont. is in the city on business a guest at the Alberta. L.L. Knight, Winnipeg, is in the city on a pleasure trip, a guest at the Windsor. Mrs. A. Smales and Mrs. C. Samles, of Twelfth street, are leaving today for Vancouver for the winter season. Rev. Dr. Riddell, of Alberta college, was this morning a passenger to Sedgewick, where he will preach tomorrow. J.C. Rattray, of Banff, is in the city, a guest at the Castle. He states there is snow in plenty at the health resort. Miss. Jean fisher, a student of the Grand Trunk Business College, has accepted a position as steonogrpher with the law firm of Dawson, Hyndman & Hyndman. O. Paquette, Duluth, is in the city stopping at the Queen's He poposes making a tour of the surrounding country for the purpose of finding a suitable place to locate. W.R. Oitt, Niagra Falls, Ont., is in the city, a guest at the Pendennis. He is looking around for the purpose of locating in the west and so far Edmonton seems the most desirable. Mr. Thos. Bellamy announced this morning that he would be an aldermanic candiate in the forthcoming municipal elections. Mr. Bellamy has not yet prepared his platform for publication, but will announce it in a few days.
