1067 EDMONTON DAILY NOV 05, 1907 POULIN, S.R. HODGINS, Major ORAM, T.A. RUNES, S.E.H. Ottawa, November 3, 1907 - The transcontinental railway commission has appointed S.R. Poulin, district engineer at North bay, to be district engineer of Winnipeg. Abitibi section. This appointment follows the friction which occurred between the commission and Major Hodgins, formerly in charge of the latter portion of the work. Prince Albert Sask., Nov. 4 The funeral of T.A. Oram, who was murdered at Stamford, Mont. Took place at Prince Albert on Sunday afternoon. The interment took place at St. Catherines cemetery, the officiating clergy being Archdeacon McKay and Rev. A.D. Dewdney. The mourners included the widow, mother, sisters and brothers of the deceased and the attendance of the public was the largest ever seen in Prince Albert. The family of the deceased being old and highly respected residents of the city. Lumden?, November 2 - S.E.H. Runes, of Long Lake who was injured about two weeks ago by a plug blowing from the threshing engine died this morning from the effects. He was a pioneer settler and was favorably known.
