PHILLIPS, Mablel Miss. SCOTT, Minerva Miss. The death took place at the residence of her daughter, Miss. Bailey Chamberlain on Dec 22nd, of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Campbell, wife of Wm. Campbell, of Argyle farm. The funeral took place on Tuesday. Miss. Aggie Dunn, Dorchester, Ont. is visiting her brothers, J. and J. Dunn Stratcona. A few evenings ago as a party from the Presbyterian church, on their way to an entertainment at the White Mud school house, were going down the hill near Sutherland's they heard cries for help and on reaching the spot where the cries came from found that Mr. Hodgins, who had been loading piles for bridge building, had with his team and lead fallen into the av? At the foot of the hill. Mr. Hodgins had been unable to free the horses without assistance but when the party arrived the animals were released. The harness having to be cut from them to enable this to be done. Neither Mr. Hodgins nor his horses were very much the worse for their adventure. Miss. Kumpton, late teacher at Granlin street school left yesterday afternoon for Seattle en route to White Horse, Yukon Territory, where she has taken a position in the public school Miss. Vila Abram, Miss. Mable Phillips and Miss. Minerva Scott have returned from Calgary, where they have been attending the Provincial Normal school, Miss. Abram has accepted a position as teacher near Lacombe and will enter upon his duties after the Christmas holidays.
