SAVAGE, Cecil Montreal, Dec 4, 1907 – The Credtors of Alexander W. Grant, a well known commission merchant, who has been in difficulties of late, due to the financial crisis, this afternoon accepted a compromise at the rate of 25 cents on the dollar, which was offered by Mr. Grant. The Creditors were fully represented and one and all expressed sympathy with Mr. Grant in his difficulties, the first in a long and honorable business career, and hoped he would be able to pull through and get his business going again. Wylder, members of the crew of the schooner wrecked on October 8 on Calvert Island on the northern British Columbia coast arrived today on the steamer Venture.
