The Chinaman Wah Lee Hung who attempted 
to commit suicide at Mornville 
and later mutilated himself at Fort 
Saskatchewan barracks, where he was under 
arrest awaiting trial, was brought up 
before Chief Justice Sifton this morning. 
He was handed over to his friends and 
will be deported to his native land. 

Mr. D.R. Fraser, who headed the list of 
unsuccessful candidates in the 
aldermanic elections has announced 
himself as candidate for the Aldermanic 
vacancy resulting from Alderman Walker's 
resignation.
