Poucher, of 635 fifth street received the sad news Saturday morning of the death of her mother, Mrs. Donald McQuarrie at Durham, Ont. Mrs. McQuarrie has been in ill health for some time. C.H. Herbert, of the C.P.R. staff, Calgary, is visiting in the city. N. Murray, one of Vermillion's leading merchants, is a guest at the Alberta. S.H. Roe, a Calgary rancher, is in the city on business and is a guest at the Windsor. J.W. Johnston, an Edmonton blacksmith leaves tonight to visit his old home in the East. M.R. Rugg, of St. Paul, is visiting the city with a view of opening up a business here, and is stopping at the Alberta. Mrs. Wm. Boyle and her daughter Clara, having recently returned form Vancouver will not receive again until the new Year. Mrs. A.S. Levine, of Saskatoon with her family, are paying a visit to the city on a shopping trip, and is staying at the King Edward. Mrs. Miriam Smith of Bothwell Ont. Returns to her home accompanied by her daughter Mrs. Abel 8 Weeks, 540 Sutherland street. E. Trowbridge leaves this afternoon to attend the Wetaskiwin sitting of the district court, acting as court stenographer. The court opens tomorrow with Judge Stuart presiding.
