OLIVER, Thos. (Thomas) BELCHER, Major Wm. Sugarman, Jasper avenue, clothier, has issued an exceptionally hansome burnt wood Christmas souvenir. At the police court this afternoon before Magistrate Wilson and S. Larue, J.P. the case of Ferdinand Thiel, charges with unlawfully intimidating will come up for hearing. The complainant is Otto Waysch, and both he and Thiel lied in a shack on the Groat estate. Waysch claims that he took Thiel to live with him and the latter took possession excluding the owner entirely from the shack. It is said that jealousy over a woman whom both admired is at the bottom of the trouble. Mr. And Mrs. Alf. Brown leave tonight for Seaforth, Ontario, on a two month's trip. Miss Louise Moir, of Humbolt, Sask. Is visiting at Mr. Ed. Butchard's coroner 6th and Hardisty. J.D. Maloney, of river qui Barre, was in town today buying supplies for the winter. W.C. Wright, of Bathgate, N.D. is in the city for the purpose of arranging to homestead next year. J.C. Doblin and R.G. Penguelly, of Vancouver, are in the city in connection with the real estate business. W.F. Stevens, of Clover Bar, was in the city today with some hay and farm produce and was at the Queens. Thos. Oliver, of Medicine Hat, was in the city today trying to sell some cattle, and was registered at the Queens. Major Belcher and family of Lethbridge, have moved to this city to reise. Their new home is at 1135 McKay avenue.
