0190 EDMONTON DAILY JULY 23, 1907 RIX, L.R. TAYLOR, G.R. KALLOW, Mr. L.R. Rix, a former general merchant at Wetaskiwin, who is on the lookout for a business opening in Alberta spent Sunday in the city. G.R. Taylor, city electrician at Wetaskiwin, and N. De Lorman, of the same city were at the St. James Sunday. A misguided lynx, with a taste for chicken, met a sudden end Sunday night, when a bullet from a rifle found lodgement in its carcass. This purloining lynx had seriously depleted ten hennery owned by Mr. Kallow, who resides on the Stratcona side of the river. Mr. Lynx secured no less than a dozen foul in two visits. His third visit, on Sunday resulted in his death. Mr. Kallow shot the animal as it was about to enter the coop.
