470 EDMONTON DAILY AUG 24, 1907 CRAIG, T. TODD, Philip CALEDONIAN CLUB picnic at the Groat estate yesterday was a great success and was attended by a very large company. The parade started from College Avenue at 1.30, led by the pipe band. The games were started promptly, and the various events were well contested. The hammer throwing was a splendid feature, and the tug-of-war, engaged in by four teams, was great sport. Dancing was heartily enjoyed to the pipe music, and everybody was well pleased. Mr. McKinnon acted as starter; Messrs. Gardner and T. Craig as judges Mr. Philip Todd as clerk of the course. Vice-president Wilson presented the prizes at the close with appropriate remarks.
