OAKE, George STRONG, J.P. McCLENNAN, Mr. James H. Coyne, MA. LL.D of St. Thomas, a prominent educationist of the province of Ontario, is in the city a guest at the Windsor. His daughter, Mrs. Cyne, accompanied him. Joseph Dupuis formerly an old timer and resident of Morinville, has returned to Morinville from Yokahama, Wash. And will visit his children, Pierre and Joseph Dupuis of Monrinville. Dr. F.A. Lackner, of Disbury and Miss. Lackner, are guests at the King Edward. Mrs. George Stockand and Miss Nelson, Edmonton, have returned from a fortnight spent in the mountains. Harold Howe, son of Thomas J. Howe of Meaford, was in Edmonton on Friday last and spent Saturday out on his fathers old farm eight miles northeast of Fort Saskatchewan, He left Edmonton later for Calgary, where he is now workingn in Esdale's drug store. A man named George Oake, was finded three dollars at the police court this morning for leaving a wagon on the street for several days in front of his house. While driving down Jasper avenue last night J.P. Strong, a farmer of Leduc, was run into by another team, driven by Mr. Mclannan, of the Eclipse livery and feed stables, and his horse injured so badly by the shaft that it bled to death in a few minutes. The horse that was killed was valued at $175 and Mr. Strong who claims he was driving on the proper side of the street, will press for damaged.
