Swatfagar, who was sailing on the Winnipeg river in a yawl attached to the steamer Villeneuve, fell overboard and was drowned. Vancouver, Aug 24, 1907 This morning a few minutes before 4 o'clock Policeman Allen found the dead body of a man lying beside the Bodega hotel, The man was undressed and it was evident that he had jumped, fallen, or been thrown from an upper story window., It was found that he had engaged a room at the Bodega in the afternoon and taken possession of it late at night. In the room, a basin of water and a towel on the table seemed to indicate that he had been bathing his head. Letters found in his clothes led the officer to believe that his name was George Taylor, but later investigation given identified the man as Wellington E. Aimas. Several letters were addressed to George Taylor, care of the Y.M.C.A. One was from an aunt in Epsom England, and one from Chas. Taylor, central Park. The deceased clothes bore the trademark of a Spokane firm. He was about 35 years of age and five feet ten inches in height. The fall from the window had disfigured the face and broken one arm and a leg. He had 25 cents in cash, an lug of tobacco and a few trinkets in his pockets.
