Mrs. Mowatt, who is occupying the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Pardee, during the latter's absence in the east, was the hostess at a large and fashionable tea yesterday afternoon. The handsome rooms, that lend themselves cheery with open fires and decorations of flowers and autumn foliage. Mrs. Mowatt wore an artistic gown of softly-tinted Gobelin blue liberty satin. In the tea room, beautifully arranged with pink poppies and fertis and autumn foliage, Mrs. Slocock and Mrs. Wallace Macdonald presided, aided in their duties by a bevy of charming young assistanst.
