Mary Darling Loughead, daughter of Mr. John Louhead, to George Kerr MacNaughton, B.A., M.D. of Cumberland, Vancouver Island, son of the late Capt. William MacNaughton, of Black River, N.B. The marriage will take place in the early winter. Dr. Sloan and Mr. Andrew agar and their families returned last night from Crescent Lake, where they have been camping for the past ten days. Lady Schultze, of Winnipeg, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. McKenney, coming with them from Winnipeg on their return trip from Europe. Miss Laura Howland Toller, second daughter of Lieut-Col. And Mrs. Toller, of Chapel street, was solemnized at All Saint's church yesterday afternoon. The groom was Frederick H. Markey, formerly of Bath, England, now of Smithmarket, Ont. Miss Toller is a niece of the late Sir. Leonard Tilley. Mr. J.E. Atkinson of Toronto and his wife known in the newspaper world as "Madge Merton" are registered at the King Edward. Swift Current, Sept 12, 1907 On Tuesday morning a Mennonite named Dick, who lives south of town narrowly escaped being killed by the west-bound express. Dick is deaf and dumb, and so did not hear the second section of the train which came in almost immediately after the first. His horses were on the track before he noticed the train approaching. He tried to back them off but could not do so in time. Both horses were struck and thrown some distance being instantly killed while dick was left sitting in the wagon beside the track.
