Banff S.P.C.A. Officer Mooted

The possibility of appointing an animal inspector to represent the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Banff was discussed Monday evening at the meeting of the Calgary society. Several requests for such an officer in Banff have been received in the Calgary office. The qualified inspector would protect both domestic and wild animals alike throughout the tourist season.
Margaret Hutchins, who has been secretary of the society for a number of years, was elected president Monday. J. J
. Puckett of Calgary is past-president.
Tom McCall, Calgary inspector, received a large number of calls regarding animals in distress. Even ranchers and farmers called to see if Mr. McCall could not find feed to help alleviate the shortage caused by the unseasonable weather.
