Club Will Send Parcels to Family In Czechoslovakia

At the February meeting of the Samaritan Club held recently at the home of Mrs. J. D. McDermott it was decided to send two parcels to a destitute family in Czechoslovakia. More than 20 members attended and Mrs. Grant Carlyle, recently elected president, occupied the chair.
A jam shower will be held in March and members will collect magazines each month for the General Hospital. Tentative plans were made to hold a rummage sale in April and for the making of layettes in May. In the late summer members under the convener ship of Mrs. Jack Alexander will make pickles and jam which will be sold at the annual fall tea.
THE SECRETARY'S report was presented by Mrs. Jack Alexander, and Mrs. J. D. Petrie submitted the treasurer's statement.
A letter of resignation from 
Mrs. C. W. Roenisch Jr. was read by the corresponding secretary, Mrs. W. R. McLaws. The next meeting will be held March 2 at the home of Mrs. McLaws.
Coffee was served by the hostess with Mrs. John Irving presiding at the coffee urn.
