(By Herald Correspondent)
DIDSBURY, May 26-- Construction has started on the new Didsbury Pioneer printing office. This building is being raised on the same site as the first home of the local weekly, which was destroyed by fire May 1.
The electrical storm of Friday evening accompanied by heavy rainfall further delayed seeding in this district. One barn was struck east of town but damage was slight.
THE DIDSBURY Lions Club elected the following officers to take over in June: President, H. D. Halliday; first vice-president, Ed Klinck; second vice-president, C. E. Reiber; secretary, H. Lynch-Staunton; treasurer, F. L. Evans; lion tamer, Frank Kaufman; tail twister, Ralph Hoover; directors, Dale Kimmel, T. N. Scott, John Folkmann, Sam Krueger.
The second annual banquet of the Didsbury high school students' union will be held May 28 in the Lions' Hall.
