Officers Elected by Col. MacLeod I.O.D.E. Chapter
Mrs. Beryl? Robinson was elected regent of the Colonel Macleod chapter of the I.O.D.E. at the annual meeting held recently in the Palliser hotel. The business meeting was followed by a luncheon.
Reports given by officers and conveners indicated that a successful financial year had been completed. The sum of $2,500 was realized. The chapter assisted in making layettes and knitting garments for overseas and sent gifts and books to an adopted school in Picture Butte.
THEY ASSISTED with concerts at the Old Folks Home and distributed magazines, cigarettes and miscellaneous articles to patients in Col. Belcher hospital and the Ogden Home.
They also helped the blind in the sale of handicrafts during Stampede week and at Christmas and canvassed for the Community Chest and Cancer drive.
OTHER OFFICERS elected were: Mrs. A. E. Cross? and Mrs. W. B. Hull, honorary regents; Mrs. George Fordyce, first vice-regent; Mrs. A. W. Brooks, second vice-regent; Mrs. L. H. Gier?, secretary; Mrs. A. Philp, treasurer; Mrs. C. E. R. Addy, educational secretary; Mrs. A. H. Hobbs, Echoes' secretary; Mrs. W. T. Haynes, standard bearer.
Members will attend the Founders Day service Sunday at 11 a.m. at Central United Church.
