Red Deer Man Heads Plumbers   

G. M. Hayne of Red Deer was elected chairman of the National Association of Master Plumbers and Heating Contractors of Canada, Alberta branch, at the annual convention Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Banff.
P. T. W. Knowles, Edmonton, was elected vice-president; Lew Llewellyn Innisfail, secretary; and Andrew Purcell, of Edmonton, treasurer.
DIRECTORS INCLUDE J. C. Anderson and Ralph Neill of Calgary; D. E. Mould and H. Haughan, of Edmonton; Ray Whittick, Lethbridge; W. McLeod, Medicine Hat; and Zeb Leigh, of High River.
H. E. Timmins, business manager of the Canadian Western Natural Gas Co., Ltd., Calgary, presented a report on test
ing and inspecting various appliances for safety and efficiency.
The Propane gas plant under construction at Turner Valley will be the fourth largest on the continent, according to James Barber of Western Propane Ltd. and Barber Engineering Company.
Banff will be the location of the 1949 annual convention.
