24 Professors Added to 'U' Staff

EDMONTON, June 5 (CP)-- The University of Alberta today announced 24 teaching appointments to its faculties, the new professors and assistant professors coming from the United Kingdom, Universities in Canada and the United States. Three are from Toronto.
DR. HAROLD RICE, of Winnipeg becomes professor of physiology. Dr. L. P. V. Johnson of Seattle, Wash., professor of genetics and plant breeding and W. F. Allen of Toronto will be assistant chemistry professor. D. A. Fraser of Toronto will be lecturer in botany, while lecturer in English will be John K. Heath, also of Toronto.
Dr. Donald Spearman, psychologist at Ste. Anne's military hospital, Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Que., becomes lecturer in psychology.
FROM OVERSEAS will come Dr. James H. Stirrat of Glasgow, associate  professor of bacteriology; Victor E. Graham, a Canadian Rhodes scholar at Oxford, as assistant in French and English, and J.
G. Millar, a New Zealander now at Cambridge, assistant in mathematics and physics.
