Cosmopal Club Elects As
President Mrs. H. J. Follensbee
Mrs. Harry J. Follensbee was installed as president of the Calgary Cosmopal
Club by Mrs. Larry H. Gier at the closing meeting of the season at the Coste
House recently.
In the secretary's report, Mrs. William Miller outlined the year's activities
which included a $150 donation to the Family Welfare Bureau, to be used for
shoes for needy children; a $10 donation to the Cerebral Palsy Association; and
evening's entertainment of movies, a sing-song, and gifts of tobacco for the
men at the Ogden Old Men's Hostel.
The retiring president, Mrs. Charles M. Reaper was presented with a gift and
Mrs. Frank Estall, who is leaving shortly to reside in Minneapolis, was presented
with a sterling silver spoon.
Other officers installed were: vice-president, Mrs. William Miller; secretary,
Mrs. Arthur K. Johnston; treasurer, Mrs. R. Don Patterson; recording secretary,
Mrs. Frank Hussey; parliamentarian, Mrs. Charles Raeper; and historian, Mrs.
George Rice.
