Doze Heads New Club Of Oil Men's Wives
More than 100 wives of men engaged in various phases of the oil industry in Calgary and district met Thursday
for a dinner at the 400 Club and organized the Calgary branch of the Oil Wives Association.
Mrs. Kenneth Doze was named president.
Others elected to the executive were: Mrs. R. J.
Kroenert, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Robert Burns,
membership secretary; Mrs. H. H. Head, treasurer; Mrs. A. J.
McCaskill, press convener; Mrs. T. B. Grisdale, Turner Valley representative;
Mrs. R. H. Gibbons, program convener.
The group will hold monthly meetings and provide
opportunities for the oil men's wives and newcomers to become better acquainted. This is
the second branch in Alberta, Edmonton inaugurating their club last year. Any
women wishing to join are asked to contact Mrs. Robert Burns at 24162.
