A. E. McDowell was elected president for the third successive year of the Killarney and Glengarry Community Association at its annual meeting Monday night.
In his presidential address, Mr. McDowell stated that the prime objective of the association is to provide clean, healthful recreation for the young people of the community. The hope was expressed at the meeting that with the increasing population in the district, more people will take an active interest in the club.
Following is the 1953 slate of officers: Mr. McDowell, president; Ken Patton, vice-president; Bill Jackson, treasurer; Frank Dixon, secretary. Members were also elected to financial, publicity, social and house committees.
