Brewers Elect H. A. Steinmann

BANFF-- H. A. Steinmann of Winnipeg, production supervisor of Western Canada Breweries, was elected president of the MasterBrewers' Association of America, District of Western Canada, at the annual meeting of the association which now concluding its 12th annual convention at Banff Springs hotel.
Mr. Steinmann succeeds R. G. Waddell, of Vancouver, as chief executive of the Association whose three-day meeting has been punctuated by business and social events, the latter including sightseeing tours in the Banff-Lake Louise area, as well as golfing on the hotel's scenic fairways. Approximately 180 members and guests, from Fort William, Ont., to Victoria, B.C., were in attendance.
VANCOUVER HAS been selected as headquarters for the 1954 convention of the association.
Other officers elected were as follows: J. Zeilner, Saskatoon, Sask., 1st vice-president; J. N. Koch, St. Boniface, Man., 2nd vice-president; A. T. Elders, Winnipeg, Man., governor; Harold Skilling, Winnipeg, secretary-treasurer; D. S. Kaufman, Winnipeg, Man., technical chairman; E. K. Zarek, Regina, Sask., public relations.
