Red Deer Forms Ambulance Unit

(Special To The Herald)
RED DEER-- A local branch of the St. John's Ambulance has been formed.
Organized at a recent meeting in City hall, it is hoped that the unit will stimulate interest in first-aid training. The organization of the unit means that there will be members on hand at public gatherings in Red Deer to administer first aid when needed.
WHILE ALL DETAILS haven't been made final, excellent progress has been made and arrangements have been completed for St. John's Ambulance personnel, with the services of a doctor, to be on hand at hockey games.
R. MacMillan was elected chairman of the branch with Mrs. G. Bigam as secretary-treasurer. Honorary president is Dr. C. G. More and divisional surgeon is Dr. M. Williamson. R. C. Lister was appointed a member so that liason may be maintained between the first aid organization and the civil defence setup.
