Central United W.A. Installs Officers At Annual Meeting

At the recent annual meeting of the W.A. of Central United Church, Mrs. A. A. Hamilton installed the following slate of officers for 1953: honorary presidents,  Mrs. G. B. Switzer and Mrs. A. A. Hamilton; past president, Mrs. G. F. McMurray; president, Mrs. R. L. Elves; first, second, third and fourth vice-presidents, Mrs. A. Robertson, Mrs. S. Defoe and Mrs. J. S. Hughes, Mrs. N. Grant, and Mrs. C. W. McLean, respectively.
Treasurer will be Mrs. W. B. Herringshaw, and the offices of recording and corresponding secretaries will be filled by Mrs. D. McRae and Mrs. W. Walker, respectively. Representative to the Mount View Home, will be Mrs. George Thorson, and pianist will be Mrs. J. Parry. Mrs. H. J. Ough will be press secretary.
The business meeting was preceded by a pot-luck supper, and each of the seven W. A. groups gave annual reports. The treasurer reported $6,283 raised during 1952. During the year the women furnished a manse for the associate minister and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. A. A. Hamilton.
