TEN CALGARY C.G.I.T. GIRLS GRADUATED from the council in a special
ceremony held in Wesley United Church Monday night. The girls, who have all
reached the age of 17, are automatically retired from the youth training
program. The graduates are (left
to right, bottom row): Alice Papp, Vera Collett, Virginia Janes, Ann Kerr, Joan
Konachowicz, Elizabeth McRae. (Rear row, left to right): Edith McCalla,
provincial chairman of the girls' work council; Jean Angus, girls' work
secretary; May Nutt, co-sponsor of the council; Betty Hiett, Phoebe Anderson,
Marilyn Karg, Beth Robertson, Connie Telfer and M. E. Murray, sponsor of the
council. The girls all received their graduation diplomas from Elizabeth
Longeway, president of the local girls' work board.
