Dick Hurst Heads Local Lions Club 

Dick Hurst, Calgary businessman, was elected president of the Lions Club on Wednesday at a luncheon meeting in the Palliser. He succeeds P. C. Naismith.
Other officers of the club are  Lou Taverner, first vice-president; Rev. Charles Reeve, second vice-president; Bruce Leyden, third vice-president; A. E. Beamer, secretary; Gordon Leitch, treasurer; 
Bud Williams, chief tail twister; Hugh Campbell, chief lion tamer; Jac Friedenberg, bulletin editor.
The new executive will appoint committees and five directors will be elected on May 20
