Rebekahs Organize Girls' New Club
At a recent ceremony in the Oddfellows hall, the third Theta Rho girls' club was inaugurated by Mrs. Pearl Hueman and her staff. The club was named Gamma Theta Rho No. 3, and has a membership of 25 girls, between the ages of 12 and 18. Its motto is "Happiness to Serve."
The following officers were elected: president, Barbara Sindall; vice-president, Joy Molyneux; recording secretary, Dorothy Channen; financial secretary, Sharon Taylor; and treasurer, Gail Hunter.
Other offices filled are: martial, Eva Mears; conductor, Betty Lou McNabb; warden, Laurie Stewart; chaplain, Hedy-Ann Hayduk; right support to the president, Joyce Stewart; left support, Beverly Befus; musician, Margaret Wilson; inside guard, Fay Molyneux; outside guard, Karen Kent; right support to the vice-president, Loretta Harmer; left support, Allison Kent; heralds, Doreen Foss, Glenda Lockhart, Donna Stewart, and Lucille Martin.
The girls' adviser is Miss Alberta Songhurst, past-president of the Rebekah assembly. Mrs. Elsie Graham gave the club a gavel and Mr. Fred Barber of St. George 39 donated to the club two gavels which he had made.
Mrs. Hueman was assisted by members of the Rebekah assembly, and soloist was Miss Gladys Boothman.
