Royal Purple Lodge Elects Executive For Coming Year 

At a recent meeting of the Order of the Royal Purple, Calgary lodge No. 7, election of officers for the coming year took place with the four chair officers of the past year being re-elected for a second term. Installation took place at the meeting on June 1st, preceded by a pot-luck supper under the convenership of Mrs. Carl Harstrom.
Mrs. Harry Kelly was appointed district deputy supreme installing officer and those who will hold office are: honored royal lady, Mrs. K. W. McLennan; immediate past honored royal lady, Mrs. Thomas Mowbray; associate royal lady, Mrs. T. P. McGowan; loyal lady,Mrs. Gordon Forrest; lecturing lady, Mrs. Anton Strand; inner guard, Mrs. Reg. Smith; outer guard, Mrs. G. C. Cooke; chaplain, Mrs. W. H. Summers; historian, Mrs. E. F. Meadows; pianist, Mrs. Sid Bush; secretary, Mrs. William Rutherford; treasurer, Mrs. Larry Campbell; and trustees, Mrs. W. N. Johnson, Mrs. R. J. Coventry and Mrs. E. Snyder; conductress, Mrs. Ted Haney.
Calgary lodge was well represented at the district meeting in Vulcan recently, where its degree team won the drill competition.
The lodge has approved a donation of $125 to the Red Cross Crippled Children's hospital to purchase needed equipment for the baby ward which is under its sponsorship.
