Mrs. D. H. Mackay To Present Charter To Toastmistresses 

Mrs. D. H. Mackay will present the Calgary Toastmistress Club with its charter at a special banquet meeting at the Coste House Thursday evening. The charter, symbol of the club's affiliation with International Toastmistress Clubs, will be presented to organizer and charter-president, Mrs. G. F. Hinds.
The Calgary branch of the organization, which has affiliations throughout the United States and Canada, was organized last September. The 28 charter members of the Calgary Club will be present for the ceremonies and for the induction by Mrs. E. A. Locke of two new members, Mrs. Norman Spankie and Mrs. K. Calvert.
The new executive, headed by Miss Florence Heron as president, will be installed by Mrs. William Cathro. Mrs. G. A. Robinson is vice-president; Miss Wilna McKenzie, secretary; Mrs. Charles Kennedy, treasurer; and Mrs. E. A. Locke, club representative.
Speakers will be Miss Florence Thorpe, Mrs. G. A. Robinson, Mrs. Russell Clark and Mrs. Frank Howie. Miss Una MacLean will be toastmistress and Miss Lois Hill, topic mistress.
The Calgary Toastmistress Club has a sister organization in Edmonton and it is hoped that affiliates will soon be formed in other Alberta centres.
