Mrs. William Miller Elected To Head Cosmopals

Mrs. William Miller was elected president of the Cosmopals at the group's annual buffet dinner meeting held recently at the Coste House. She succeeds Mrs. H. J. Follinsbee, who was presented with a gift on behalf of the members.
Other officers elected were: Vice-president, Mrs. R. J. Vandersluys; secretary, Mrs. B. D. Patterson; treasurer, Mrs. Nels Johnson; corresponding secretary, Mrs. A. S. Haynes; sergeant at arms, Mrs. B. H. Joyce; historian, Mrs. H. B. Fawcet; parliamentarian, Mrs. H. J. Follinsbee.
The secretary, Mrs. A. K. Johnson, reported on the activities of the past year. Donations to charities included $100 to the Calgary Family Bureau; $25 to the Council for Retarded Children; $25 to Southern Alberta Cerebral Palsy Association; and gifts and entertainment to the Ogden Men's Hostel. The talent raffle was won by Mrs. Jim Blaine, and Mrs. H. J. Follinsbee; Mrs. J. R. Wright won the door prize.
A highlight was the entertainment by Miss Margarite Orr and Miss Joyce Orr, daughters of Mrs. Allan Orr. Margarite has her grade 8 in piano, and Joyce her grade 8 in elocution.
