Royal Purple Chapter Formed

FERNIE, B.C.-- The institution of the Fernie Lodge of the Order of the Royal Purple chapter was carried out in a ceremony at the Legion hall Monday.
Officers of the new lodge were installed by the district deputy honored royal lady Dora MacDonald of Fort Macleod, with the honored royal lady M. Oborne of Lethbridge, as assistant installing officer. Nora Goulding of Coleman was secretary pro tem.
Hon. Royal Lady Chabillion of the Coleman Order of the Royal Purple, together with her officers and ladies gave a display of drills and lodge work. Mrs. Chabillion, on behalf of the Coleman Order, presented Mrs. Laura McLaren, honored royal lady of the new order, with an inscribed Bible for use in the new lodge.

Karmar; (1 year), Mrs. V. Colgur; pianist, Mrs. A. Smolik; historian, Mrs. I. Hughes.
