Mrs. E. G. Mason Re-elected President of Battalion L.A.

At the recent meeting of the L.A. to the 50th Battalion C.E.F., Mrs. E. G. Mason was re-elected president. On the executive with her will be Mrs. W. H. Gough, secretary; Mrs. S. U. Allen, treasurer; and elected to the sick committee were Mrs. W. J. Miller, with Mrs. Jack Gordon as assistant.
Mrs. Miller reported nearly 200 men had been visited in the local hospitals during the past year, and letters of thanks were read from the patients who received cards and Christmas gifts. A letter of thanks was received from the oldest member and past president, Mrs. Ada Costigan of Victoria, who is now in her 95th year and at present recuperating from a broken hip. At the February meeting discussions will get under way for the coming activities.
