Elect Officers At Year's End

CRANBROOK-- Winding up the 
year with election of 1954 officers, the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion  re-elected its president, Mrs. I. L. Grant, and named as vice-presidents Mrs. George Reed and Mrs. H. W. Lucas. Other officers are Mrs. T. N. Johansen, Mrs. Y. Torgeson, and Mrs. H. J. Wheaton, executive committee: Mrs. A. J. Conroy, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. D. R. Little, standard bearer; Mrs.M. Collinson, sergeant-at-arms; and Mrs. Gertrude Wood, social convener.
Legion president Edward Gummer acknowledged the substantial help given by the auxiliary in the Poppy Day campaign which returned over $1,200, and East Kootenay Zone Commander R. D. Knight commended the auxiliary for its help in the past year.
