Win Scholarships

Walter Dexter of 1310 2nd St. N.W., and W. E. Godwin of 3818 1A St. S.W., were two of the four Alberta artists that won $100 scholarships for arts and crafts in the 1953 Alberta Visual Arts Board competitions. The two other artists were Edmontonians. 
Honorable mention went to two other Calgarians, Steve Kiss, 422 11th Ave. W., and Mrs. Georgina Graham, 1240 19th St. N.W.
Mr. Dexter's prize-winning works were three ceramic pieces and Mr. Godwin took his scholarship with a water color, a still-life in oils and an etching.
All scholarships are tenable at winter sessions of the University of Alberta, the Provincial Institute of Technology and Art i
n Calgary, or for summer schooling at the Banff School of Fine Arts.
