School Vacancies Filled By Board

FERNIE, B.C.-- All known vacancies in the
 Fernie school district have been filled. Resignations from the 53 teacher staff of the district include the following: From Fernie elementary-senior high, Miss Martha Anderson, art instructor, after 32 years' service in the district; Miss Marlene Bevis, grades III and IV; Mrs. Jean Serek, grade V; and Mrs. Margaret McCracken, home economics. From Michel-Natal, David King, Mrs. Krall and Miss Jarolim.
APPOINTMENTS to fill the 
vacancies are as follows: to Fernie-- Miss Kathleen Shennan, home economics; Miss Joan Hardy, music and Academic subjects; Miss Catherine Schreiner, transferred from Elko; and Miss Esther Whalley, transferred from Jaffray.
To Michel-Natal-- James C. Logan, Miss Doris Lee, transferred from Foothills School, which was closed at Easter, and 
Miss Maria Qualtieri.
Vacancies at 
Elko and Jaffray, created by teacher transfers to Fernie, are being filled by Miss Julia Jakubiec and Miss Shirley Uphill.
