46 Nurses To
Graduate From General Hospital
THERE WILL BE 46 YOUNG WOMEN in white receiving their diplomas when the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing holds its annual graduation exercises Tuesday at Grace Presbyterian Church, starting at 8 p.m. They are members of the class of 1953, spring and fall entrants. Chairman for the graduating exercises will be Howard P. Wright, chairman of the Calgary hospitals board; the address to the graduates will be given by Dr. Douglas R.Buchanan; the valedictorian will be Katherine Bernhardt of Coronation, the pins will be presented by Miss Gertrude Hall, director of nursing; granted awards will be presented by Dr. L. O. Bradley, hospital administrator; diplomas will be presented by Mayor D. H. Mackay and special awards by Dr. Thomas Melling, chairman of the hospital's medical staff.
