School Graduates Are Honored

STETTLER-- A reception was held Friday in the banquet room of the 
Stettler United Church for 23 graduates of Stettler Grade XII, their parents, staff members, school board members, and other guests.
graduating are Nellie Townsend, Joanne Brodie, Sophie Tipman, Phyllis Nix, Bernice Martin, Loretta Keibel, Elaine Cody, Marlene Jones, Marie Lohr, May Keibel, Ruby Muhlback, Ruth Muhlback, Leila Kerbes, Kathleen Kerbes, Verna Nicklom, Dorothy Fowler, Audrey McBrine, Hattie Wittwerr, Kathleen Grey, Bill Cooper, Jack Smith, Norman Crawford and Allan McCallum.
Toastmaster was William Cooper. The toast to the grade was proposed by Mrs. Elizabeth Hartwell, and replied to by Miss Nellie Townsend. The valedictory was given by Audrey McBrine.
The toast to the parents 
was proposed by Miss Joanne Brode and replied to by Mrs. Pearl Cooper.
proposed the toast to the staff and Principal James Briggs replied. The toast to the school board was proposed by Miss Sophie Tipman and replied to by O. R. Wilson. The class history was given by Jack Smith.
A. A. Aldridge, supervisor of guidance, department of education, Edmonton, stressed that Canada has entered a new phase. "All through life we are freshmen, sophomores, and later seniors. h was greatly enjoyed.
