CLARESHOLM-- Rev. E. W. Oldring installed the officers
of the Claresholm United Church Junior
Woman's Association at the first meeting of the year. They are as follows: Honorary
president, Mrs. E.
W. Oldring; past president, Mrs. W. C. Johnston; president, Mrs. William Webber; vice-presidents,
Mrs. K. G. Donaldson and Mrs. W. M. Hodgson; secretary, Mrs. Boyd
Long; treasurer,
Mrs. J. F. Hamshaw; literature secretary,
Mrs. Donaldson; and press secretary,
Mrs. R. C. Smith.
THE CONVENERS of
committees are: Devotional, Mrs. Leonard Shearer; Visiting and Christian
Fellowship, Mrs. Hodgson; Christian Citizenship, Mrs. D. S. Peterson; Flowers
and gifts, Mrs. Gibbie; Social, Mrs. C. W. Ashworth; Committee on Nominations,
Mrs. K. D. Graham, Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Neil Stewart; Lunch, Mrs. F. E.
Gorham; Scrap Book, Mrs. J. B. Fisher. The councillors will be Mrs. Gibbie,
Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Donaldson, Mrs. Robert Arlt and Mrs. Mary Whiteside.
Plans were made to co-operate with the other women's
organizations in the church to help bear the cost of equipping the kitchen in
the new church.
