Scouts Will Don Feminine Attire To Preside At Tea

 

In a take-off on a typical women's afternoon tea the boys and leaders of the 18th Scout Troop will entertain Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Scout Hall, 19th St. and 18th Ave. W., at a fashion parade tea. All participants will be attired in feminine spring fashions.

Receiving the guests will be scoutmaster, Mr. A. W. Haynes, Mr. D. J. Stanford, Mr. F. L. Stoddart; cubmaster, Mr. Ed. Walker; assistant scoutmasters, Mr. N. J. Christie, Mr. W. B. Brown and Mr. Griff Lloyd.

ASSISTANT district scout commissioner, Mr. Tom Thomas; past-president, Mr. Walter Haynes; scout fathers, Mr. Lionel Beeby, Mr. Clarence Greenwood, Mr. George Board, Mr. W. L. McPhee, Mr. John Dick, Mr. Ivone Burn and cub fathers, Mr. Robert Pots and Mr. A. W. Farmilo will preside at the tea urns.

Convener of the tea is scouter Bert Haynes. The treasurer will be scout Ian Burn and scout D. H. McKay will be in charge of home cooking.

 Funds raised from the tea will sponsor a boy from England at the world jamboree. The boys will be assisted at the tea by the ladies auxiliary.
