School Awards Scholarships

 

Scholarships were awarded to Sheila Barrass and Leigh-Jane Haines at closing  exercises of Christopher Robin School Friday in St. Stephens hall.

Miss Barrass won the Merit Trophy with a $110 scholarship, and Leigh-Jane Haines won the Scholastic Trophy and $50.

SILVER MEDALS for proficiency in each grade were awarded to Anthony Baker, Grade I; Richard Stein, Grade II; Wilma Ward, Grade III; Kaye Emmett, Grade IV; Carolyn Johanson, Grade V; and Leigh-Jane Haines, Grade VI.

 The Dr. J. W. Clay trophy for speech was won by Kaye Emmett, and bronze medals for speech were awarded to Donald Elliott and Sylvia Baker.

The rose bowl trophy for scripture was won by  Leigh-Jane Haines; bronze medal for scripture, James Hughes, and special awards in scripture were awarded to James Jones, Carolyn Johanson, Melanie Haines, Gail Davis and Kathleen Miller.

BRONZE MEDALS for perfect attendance were won by Terrance Flock, Kaye Emmett, William Bickham and Wendy Elliott. Neatness prizes were won by Helen Troughton, Denise Moore, Darlene Mitchell, Kaye Emmett, Carolyn Johanson and < big>Leigh-Jane Haines.

Reading proficiency prizes were awarded to Joan Waller and Constance Miller. Prizes for School uniform went to Barbara White and Marilyn Leyden. Posture pins were awarded to Mark Smith and Barbara White.
