427 Pupils Enrolled at Sylvan

SYLVAN LAKE
-- Some 427 pupils have enrolled in the Sylvan Lake Public School. Vice-principal H. J. Cody and principal R. W. Blick are in charge of 15 teachers.
The list of teachers is as follows: Grade I-- Miss G. Read and Mrs. Ena Kinna; Grade II-- Mrs. M. McCann, Innisfail, and Mrs. Kay Johnson; Grade III-- Mrs. Ernie Peterson and Miss B. Bertram; Grade IV-- Mrs. George Rozier and Mrs. B. Owen; Grade V-- Mrs. Ernie Woima; Grade V and VI-- S. E. Davidson; Grade VI-- Mrs. Neil Jarvin, N. Bowles and R. Hodgkinson of Pine Lake; Grade VIII-- Mrs. LeClaire of Edmonton; Grade IX-- H. J. Cody; Grade X-- Mrs. Clara Bradley and R. W. Blick.
Miss Bertram will teach girls physical training to Grades VIII, IX and X. Mr. Hodgkinson will teach boys PT to Grades VII to X inclusive. Mrs. LeClaire will teach French to Grades IX and X.
38 CREDITS
Grade X pupils will be offered 38 credits. The maximum that can be taken is 40. Shop and home economics will be taught in Red Deer to Grades IX and X.
School bus drivers this year are Ray Ferguson for Marianne and Sylvan Lake West; Howard Gates, Burnt Lake and Pine Hill; A. W. Sorge, Norma and Poplar Ridge; Russell Fitch, Old Hola and Centreville. The three buses operating into Red Deer are being driven by Red Deer drivers.
